UKRC & BACP Accredited Counsellor
Most people would benefit from seeing a good counsellor. However those people, who feel upset or distressed, have problems with feelings and thoughts, relationships or behaviour will find counselling especially beneficial.
They may have experienced a sudden life crisis, such as bereavement, lost a job, been bullied or felt threatened. It may be that life lacks direction or doesn’t make sense. It is possible that the feeling of unease does not seem to have any cause.
Whilst I have helped people with all sorts of problems I have special expertise in working with:-
Trauma, Stress, anxiety, depression, work related problems, relationships, problem drinking, self esteem issues and bereavement.
I completed three years of counselling studies at Vaughan College Leicester University, and have a Degree in Psychology. I also have a Certificate in Trauma Management and Critical Incident Debriefing. I have worked for many years in the MOD and Constabulary as Staff Support and Welfare Officer.
Since 2001 I have been a freelance consultant, trainer and counsellor, working with a number of Employee Assistance Programmes and private clients.
As an Accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I treat all information disclosed to me as strictly confidential.
